Nancy Prince
Nancy Prince is an award-winning quilt artist from Orlando, Florida, specializing in thread painting. Her anyone-can-do-it approach to thread painting is fun, easy, and a new way for quilters to broaden their quilting experience.
Nancy’s quilts have won numerous awards the most prestigious being the 2014 Best of Show at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, the 2015 Best of World at Mancuso’s Quilt World in New England, and the Marie White Masterpiece award at Road to California. Her quilts have also won 9 Best of Show awards, and 20 Viewer’s Choice awards. Other awards include Artistic Merit, Best Pictorial, and Best Wall Quilt to name a few. Nancy is the author of two books Simple Thread Painting and Thread Painting with Style. She has taped episodes for Simply Quilts and The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims and has appeared in national magazines.
Nancy is addicted to thread painting and her enthusiasm in workshops can be contagious!!! Students comment on her commitment to one-on-one attention and her upbeat attitude. She travels the country teaching and lecturing to anyone who will listen to share the excitement and creativity thread painting brings to her quilting world. She excels in taking the mystic out of thread painting, making it easy for anyone to master.
In addition to Nancy’s on-site workshops, she now offers virtual workshops. This is an exciting adventure and a way to reach quilters who cannot commit to a quilt show or guild or cannot travel.
In addition to her husband, Tom, she has three grown sons and eight adorable grown grandchildren – and oh, yes, two talented daughters-in-law. She spends most of her time juggling her family, quilting, and teaching her passion. This passion has enriched her life and keeps her centered and focused.
