  • No time wasted traveling
  • No leaving pets or loved ones alone
  • More comfortable environment for introverts
  • Comfort and convenience of home setting
  • Steps away from the kitchen for snacks and lunch
  • Classes are available in remote areas

The benefit of an On Demand workshop is that the student gets to work at their own pace, on their own schedule and in the comfort of their home. Plus the videos provide an up-close view of each step of the project providing each student with a front-row seat. And videos can be rewound or fast-forwarded to re-establish a new skill or practice a technique.

All workshop fees include a workshop kit. Each workshop kit includes the materials needed for the workshop except for the thread, a hoop and miscellaneous sewing and notions pertinent to each workshop.

While I cannot be at the student’s location to peak over their shoulder, hopefully, the videos make it feel like I am. Plus I am just an email away to answer any questions you might have or to critique your work.

I hope you will give one or more On Demand workshops a try!!

In searching for a new thread painting workshop I stumbled upon this exquisite painting by an American oil painter.  Knowing that many of the painter's artworks of yesteryear are no longer copyright protected allowed me the opportunity of enhancing the painting with thread. The beauty of this workshop is that the thread painting is balanced off with an equal amount of untouched background. The untouched background areas will be enhanced during the quilting process to balance the project. The emphasis of this workshop is the how-to of thread painting but equally important will be a video showing how different stitches create interest and give an illusion of distance. This is a fun workshop and the results color-wise are striking!  And for your convenience, a workshop kit is included in the fee so all you must do is gather the threads, a hoop and machine notions and you are ready for the workshop.
